हरिवर्षम् / HARIVARṢA(M). The northern part of Mount Hemaparvata. arjuna, during his triumphal tour of the northern regions conquered this region and took away a lot of costly gems. (bhārata, southern text, sabhā Parva, Chapter 28).

 (हरिप्रियं वर्षम् ।) जम्बुद्वीपस्यनववर्षान्तर्गतवर्षविशेषः । इति त्रिकाण्डशेषः ॥
स तु निषधहेमकूटपर्व्वतयोर्म्मध्ये वर्त्तते । यथा ।एवं दक्षिणेनेलावृतं निषधो हेमकूटो हिमा-लय इति प्रागायता यथा नीलादयः । अयुत-योजनोत्सेधा हरिवर्षकिंपुरुषभारतानां यथा-संख्यम् । इति श्रीभागवते ५ स्कन्धे १६ अध्यायः ॥
किञ्च । हरिवर्षे चापि भगवान् नरहरिरूपे-णास्ते । तद्रूपग्रहणनिमित्तमुत्तरत्राभिधास्येतद्दयितं रूपं महापुरुषगुणभाजनो महाभाग-वतो दैत्यदानवकुलतीर्थीकरणशीलाचरितःप्राह्वादोऽव्यवधानानन्यभक्तियोगेन सह तद्वर्ष-पुरुषैरुपास्ते । इति च तत्रैव १८ अध्यायः ॥
