वैदिके कर्म्मणि तेषां प्रथमतो निर्द्देशो यथा, --“तस्मादोमित्युदाहृत्य यज्ञदानतपःक्रियाः ।प्रवर्त्तन्ते विधानोक्ताः सततं ब्रह्मवादिनाम् ॥
”यस्मादेवं ब्रह्मणो निर्द्देशस्तस्मादोमित्युदाहृत्यउच्चार्य्य कृता वेदवादिनां यज्ञाद्याः शास्त्रोक्ताःक्रियाः सततमङ्गवैकल्येऽपि प्रवर्त्तन्ते प्रकर्षेणवर्त्तन्ते सगुणा भवन्तीति भगवान् शङ्कराचार्य्य-चरणाः ॥
“तदित्यनभिसन्धाय यज्ञदानतपःक्रियाः ।दानक्रियाश्च विविधाः क्रियन्ते मोक्षकाङ्क्षिभिः ॥
