श्नु a vikarana or a conjugational sign to be placed after the roots headed by सु (i.e. roots of the fifth conjugation) as also after the root श्रु when श्रु is to be changed into शृ, and the roots अक्ष् and तक्ष्
e.g. सुनीति, सुनुते
