 (विताने भवः । वितान + ठक् ।)श्रौतहोमः । यथा, --“मरणादेव कर्त्तव्यं संयोगो यस्य नाग्निना ।दाहादूर्द्ध्वमशौचं स्याद्यस्य वैतानिको विधिः ॥
”इति शुद्धितत्त्वम् ॥
वितानसम्बन्धीये, त्रि । वितानशब्दात् ष्णिक-प्रत्ययेन निष्पन्नमेतत् ॥
