कल्पान्तरे तु विप्रचित्तेःसिंहिकायां जातः । यथा, --“सिंहिकायामथोत्पन्ना विप्रवित्तेश्चतुर्द्दश ।शंवः शवलगात्रश्च व्यङ्गः शाल्वस्तथैव च ॥
इल्वलो नमुचिश्चैव वातापी हसृपो जिकः ।हरकल्पः कालनाभो भौमश्च नरकस्तथा ॥
राहुर्ज्येष्ठश्च तेषां वै चन्द्रसूर्य्यप्रमर्द्दनः ।इत्येते सिंहिकापुत्त्रा देवैरपि दुरासदाः ॥
”इति वह्निपुराणे काश्यपीयवंशः ॥
अन्यच्च ।“विप्रचित्तिः सैंहिकेयान् सिंहिकायामजी-जनत् ।हिरण्यकशिपोर्ये वै भागिनेयास्त्रयोदश ॥
