English
वध्रिमती / VADHRIMATĪ. A princess, praised in ṛgveda. This beautiful princess got a hermaphrodite as her husband. She shed a good deal of tears and prayed to the Aśvins (Charioteers of indra, celebrated as Gods of light and helpers) in consequence of which she got a son named hiraṇyahasta. (ṛgveda, Maṇḍala 1, Śūkta 116).

English
Vadhrimatī, ‘having an impotent man as a husband, seems
in the Rigveda^1 to be the name of a woman who owed the
restoration of her husband's virility to the Aśvins, and obtained
a son, Hiraṇyahasta. The word is, however, possibly only
descriptive.
