patronymic Dhānāka (author of the hymns Ṛg-veda

Luśa is represented in a series of passages in the Brāhmaṇas^1
as a rival of Kutsa for the favour of Indra. To Luśa Dhānāka
the authorship of certain hymns^2 is ascribed by the Anukra-
maṇī (Index) of the Rigveda.
