Vedic Reference
English
Rambhiṇī occurs in one passage of the Rigveda^1 as being on
the shoulders of the Maruts. A ‘spear’ seems to be meant,
perhaps conceived as clinging (rambh = rabk, ‘clasp’) to the
shoulders of a man.
