Sanskrit
मुखाग्निः,
पुं,
 (मुखं मुख्योऽग्निः ।) दावाग्निः ।यथा, --“हेमकेलिर्द्वयोश्चाथ मृदाकुः स्याद्दवानलः ।मुखोल्का भूतसश्चारी मुखाग्निर्भरघस्मरः ॥
”इति शब्दमाला ॥
शवमुखे दन्तवह्निः । इति लोके । शास्त्रे तुशिरःस्थाने । यथा, --“देवाश्चाग्निमुखाः सर्व्वे गृहीत्वा तु हुता-शनम् ।गृहीत्वा पाणिना चैव मन्त्रमेतदुदीरयेत् ॥
कृत्वा तु दुष्कृतं कर्म्म जानता वाप्यजानता ।मृत्युकालवशं प्राप्य नरं पञ्चत्वमागतम् ॥
धर्म्माधर्म्मसमायुक्तं लोभमोहसमावृतम् ।दहेयं सर्व्वगात्राणि दिव्यान् लोकान् सगच्छतु ॥
एवमुक्त्वा ततः शीघ्रं कृत्वा चैव प्रदक्षिणम् ।ज्वलमानं तथा वह्निं शिरः स्थाने प्रदापयेत् ॥
चातुर्व्वर्णेषु संस्थानमेवं भवति पुत्त्रिके ! ।”इति शुद्धितत्त्वम् ॥
