मांधातृ m. N. of a king of the solar race, son of Yuvanāśva (being born from his own belly). As soon as he came out of the belly, the sages said ‘कं एष धास्यति’
whereupon Indra came down and said ‘मां धास्यति’
the boy was, therefore, called Māndhātṛ.
