Pṛkṣa-yāma occurs once in the plural in the Rigveda.^1
Roth^2 suggests the sense of ‘faring with swift steeds, and
thinks a proper name is meant. Pischel^3 holds that the word
is an epithet of the Pajras, and that it means ‘performing
splendid sacrifices.’
