पुं,
 (पितृप्रियः पक्षः ।) गौणाश्विन-कृष्णपक्षः । स तु प्रेतपक्षः । तत्र श्राद्धफलंयथा, हेमाद्रिमाधवसंग्रहयोर्नागरखण्डम् ।“आषाढ्याः पञ्चमे पक्षे कन्यासंस्थे दिवाकरे ।यो वै श्राद्धं नरः कुर्य्यादेकस्मिन्नपि वासरे ।तस्य संवत्सरं यावत् तृप्ताः स्युः पितरो ध्रुवम् ॥
नभा वाथ नभस्यो वा मलमासो यदा भवेत् ।सप्तमः पितृपक्षः स्यादन्यत्रैव तु पञ्चमः ॥
”इति मलमासतत्त्वम् ॥
