“प्रतिपत्-पञ्चदश्योर्यन्मध्यं स पर्व्वसन्धिः । किंवा ससन्धिः पर्व्वेत्यन्वयः । पञ्चदशानां पूरणी पञ्च-दशी संख्याया डडिति डट् टित्त्वादीप् ।पञ्चदशीशब्देन पूर्णिमामावास्ययोर्द्वयोर्ग्रहणम् ।अतएव पौर्णमास्या अमावास्या वा शेषसार्द्ध-दण्डचतुष्टयं प्रतिपदश्च प्रथमसार्द्धदण्डचतुष्टयंपर्व्वसन्धिरिति वृद्धाः ॥
सैहिकेयो यदा राहु-र्ग्रसते पर्व्वसन्धिष्विति यमः ॥
पर्व्वणोः सन्धिःपर्व्वसन्धिः पृधातोर्वनिपि पर्व्वपूरणे इत्यस्यनाम्नीत्यनि वा पर्व्व । प्रतिपत्पञ्चदश्योस्तुसन्धिः पर्व्वाथ दिक् ककुविति स्वामी ॥
दर्शप्रतिपदोः सन्धौ ग्रन्थिप्रस्तावयोरपि ।पर्व्वशब्दो हि विषुवत्प्रभृतिष्वपि दृश्यते ॥
इति रत्नः ।” इति भरतः ॥
