 परिवर्ज्य पुत्रादिकं व्रजति परि + व्रज--क्विप्दीर्घः । पुत्रदारादिकं सर्वकर्माणि च परित्यज्य आ-अमान्तरगामिणि भिक्षौ यतौ अमरः । तल्लक्षणं यथा-“सर्वारम्भपरित्यागी भैक्ष्याश्यं ब्रह्ममूलता । निष्परि-ग्रहताऽद्रोहसमता सर्वजन्तुषु । प्रियाप्रियपरिष्वङ्गेसुखदुःखाविकारिता । सबाह्याभ्यन्तरं शौचं सुखदुःखाविकारिता । सर्वेन्द्रिवसमाहारो धारणाध्यानानित्यता ।भावसंशुद्धिरित्येष परिव्राड्वर्य्य उच्यते” ।
