Nūrmaḍi (IE 8-2
SII 3), Kannaḍa, ‘hundred times’
word
prefixed to the names of certain kings in order to distinguish
them from their predecessors bearing the same name
e. g.
Nūrmaḍi Taila, ‘one who is a hundredfold Taila’
cf. Savāi
Jayasiṃha, ‘one and one-fourth of Jayasiṃha’. See Immaḍi
and Mummuḍi.
