निर्घण्टः,
पुं,
 (निर् + घण्ट दीप्तौ + घञ् ।) निर्घ-ण्टनम् । निघण्टुः । गणसंग्रहः । ग्रन्थानां सूचीतिख्यातः । यथा, --“धन्वन्तरीयमदनादिहलायुधादीन्विश्वप्रकाश्यमरकोषमशेषराजान् ।आलोक्य लोकविदितांश्च विचिन्त्य शब्दान्द्रव्याभिधानगणसंग्रह एष सृष्टः ॥
निर्द्दशलक्षणपरीक्षणनिर्णयेननानाविधौषधविचारपरायणो यः ।सोऽधीत्य यत् सकलमेनमवैति सर्व्वंतस्मादयं जगति भाति निघण्टुराजः ॥
”इति राजनिर्घण्टः ॥
