 निकुम्भिला स्त्री लङ्कायाः प्रश्चिमभागस्थायां १ गुहायां२ तत्स्थदेव्याञ्च “मानुषं मांसमास्वाद्य प्रनृत्यामो नि-कुम्भिलाम्” रामा० सु० २४ । ४५ “निकुम्भिला नाम लङ्कायाःपश्चिमभागवर्त्तिनी भद्रकाली तां तत्समीपं गत्वा प्रनृ-त्यामः” इति तट्टीका । “तेन वीरेण तपसा वरदानात्स्वयम्भुवः । अस्त्रं ब्रह्मशिरः प्राप्तं कामगाश्च तुर-ङ्गमाः । स एष किल सैन्येन प्राप्तः किल निकुम्भिलाम् ।यद्युत्तिष्ठेत् कृतं कर्म हतान् सर्वांश्च विद्धि नः । निकुम्भि-लामसंप्राप्तमकृतास्त्रं च यो रिपुः” रामा० लङ्का० ८५ । ११ श्लो०
