(नरस्य मुनेरियम् । नर + “तस्ये-दम् ।” ४ । ३ । १२० । इति अण् । ततष्टाप् ।“यद्यपि अणि कृते ङीप्प्रत्ययः प्राप्तस्तथापिछान्दसलक्षणैरपि स्मृतिषु व्यवहारात् सर्व्वेविधयश्छन्दसि विकल्पन्ते इति पाक्षिको ङीप्प्रत्ययः । तस्याभावपक्षे सामान्यलक्षणप्राप्तेटापि कृते नारा इति रूपसिद्धिः ।” इति मनु-संहिताटीकायां कुल्लूकभट्टः । १ । १० ।) जलम् ।इति शब्दरत्नावली ॥
