Sanskritनवपत्रिका स्त्री नवमिता पत्रिका । नवसु कदल्यादिषु“कदली दाडिमी धान्यं हरिद्रा मानकं कचुः ।विल्वाशोकौ जयन्ती च विज्ञेया नवपत्रिकाः” दुर्गोत्-सवपूजापद्धतिः । तत्प्रवेशः ति० त० निर्णीतो यथाज्योतिषे “पूर्वाह्णे नवपत्रिका शुभकरी सर्वार्थसिद्धिप्रदाआरोग्यं धनदा करोति विजयं चण्डी प्रवेशे शुभा ।मध्याह्ने जनपीडनक्षयकरी संग्रामघोरावहा सा-याह्ने बधबन्धनादिकलहं सर्पक्षतं सर्वदा । सप्तम्यामस्त-गायां यदि विशति गृहं पत्रिका श्रीफलाढ्या राज्ञःसप्ताङ्गराज्यं जनसुखमखिलं हन्ति मूलानुरोधात् ।तस्मात् सूर्य्योदयस्थां नरपतिशुभदां सप्तमीं प्राप्यदेवीम् भूपालो वेशयेत्तां सकलजनहितां राक्षसर्क्षंविहाय” । राक्षसर्क्षं मूला । “पत्रीप्रवेशनं रात्रौविसर्गं वा करोति यः । तस्य राज्यविनाशः स्याद्रा-जाऽयविकलो भवेत्” ।
