धातुप्रदीप a work dealing with verbal forms written by Maitreya Rak- sita, a Buddhist writer and a famous grammarian belonging to the eastern part of India who lived in the middle of the twelfth century. He is believed to have written many scholarly works in connection with Panini's grammar out of which the Tantrapradipa is the most important one. The work Dhatupradipa is quoted by Saranadeva, who was a contem- porary of Maitreya Raksita, in his Durghatavrtti on P. II. 4. 52.
