त्रिसाहस्री (trisAhasrI)

Edgerton Buddhist Hybrid
English
tri-sāhasrī, f. (sc. lokadhātu
cf. °srā), the three-thousandfold (world-system): yaś ca imāṃ trisāhasrīṃ (so most mss., two °rāṃ) kampayet SP 〔253.7〕. Only here and in Dbh.g. 〔40(66).4〕 trisahasri have I noted the fem. (tri-, or mahā-)-sāhasrī(-sah°), corresp. to Pali sahassī, which app. is the regular Pali form, see Childers s.v. Otherwise the BHS fem. stem is °srā, see preceding items.
