चातुराश्रम्यं,
क्ली,
 (चतुर्णां आश्रमाणां कर्म्मइति । “गुणवचनब्राह्मणादिभ्यः कर्म्मणि च ।”५ । १ । १२४ । इति ष्यञ् ।) ब्रह्मचर्य्यगार्हस्थ्य-वानप्रस्थभिक्षुरूपाश्रमचतुष्टयानां धर्म्मः । इतिपुराणम् ॥
(यथा, महाभारते । १२ । ४६ । २२ ।“चातुर्विद्यं चातुर्होत्रं चातुराश्रम्यमेव च ।राजधर्म्मांश्च निखिलान् पृच्छैनं पृथिवीपते ! ॥
