   लग्नम् । लग्नात् चतुर्थसप्तमदशम-स्थानानि । तत्पर्य्यायः । कण्टकम् २ । यथा,  --“लग्नाम्बुद्व्यूनकर्म्माणि केन्द्रमुक्तञ्च कण्टकम् ।चतुष्टयञ्चात्र खेटो बली लग्ने विशेषतः” ॥
इति नीलकण्ठकृतवर्षतन्त्राख्यजातकम् ॥
 स्पष्ट-ग्रहानयनार्थं शीघ्रमन्दसंज्ञकाङ्कद्वयम् । यथा,  --“मृदूच्चेन हीनो ग्रहो मन्दकेन्द्रंचलोच्चं ग्रहाणां भवेच्छीघ्रकेन्द्रम्” ॥
इति भास्करीयसिद्धान्तशिरोमणौ स्पष्टाधिकारः ॥
ग्रहं संशोध्य मन्दोच्चात् तथा शीघ्रात् विशोध्यच शिष्टं केन्द्रम् । इति सूर्य्यसिद्धान्तः ॥
 गोलस्यमध्यस्थानम् । यथा,  --“वृत्तस्य मध्यं किल केन्द्रमुक्तम्केन्द्रं ग्रहोच्चान्तरसुच्यतेऽतः ।यवोऽन्तरे तावति तुङ्गदेशा-न्नीचोच्चवृत्तस्य सदैव केन्द्रम्” ॥
इति सिद्धान्तशिरोमणौ गोलाध्यायः ॥
 (यात्रा-योगविषेषः । यथा,  शब्दार्थचिन्तामणिधृतवचने ।“आपोक्लिमगते चन्द्रे केन्द्रस्थे सुरपूजिते ।योगः केन्द्र इति ख्यातो यातुरिष्टार्थसिद्धिदा” ॥
प्रान्तसीमा । यथा,  योगशास्त्रे ।“पृथिव्या उभयोः केन्द्रयोः स्थितौ द्वावेव योगिनौ ।एकत्र सान्निध्यस्थितिवत् सन्निकर्षस्थिताविव वाअन्योन्यमालपति” ॥

  “वृत्तस्य मध्यं किल केन्द्रमुक्तम् । केन्द्रं ग्रहोच्चान्तरमुच्यतेऽतः । यतोऽन्तरे तावति तुङ्गदेशान्नीचोच्चवृत्तस्य सदैव केन्द्रम्” शि० सि० गोलाध्यायोक्ते १ वृत्तक्षेत्रस्यमध्यस्थाने २ ग्रहाणामुच्चस्थानान्तरे च । तदानयनप्र-कारः तस्य समविषमादिसंज्ञाभेदौ च सू० सि० रङ्गना-थाम्यां दर्शितौ यथा“ग्रहं संशोध्य मन्दोच्चात् तथा शीघ्राद्विशोध्य च । शेषंकेन्द्रपदं तस्माद्भुजज्या कोटिरेव च” मू० । “ग्रहं राश्या-दिकं मन्दोच्चात् प्रागानीतस्वकीयराश्यादिकं मन्दोच्चभागात्संशोध्योनीकृत्य शीघ्रात् प्रागानीतराश्यादि शीघ्रोच्चात्, चः समुच्चये ऊनीकृत्य शेषं राश्यात्मकं तथोच्चसम्ब-न्धेन केन्द्रं मन्दोच्चाद्धीनो ग्रहो मन्दकेन्द्रम् । शीघ्रो-च्चाद्धीनो ग्रहः शीघ्रकेन्द्रं भवतीत्यर्थः । तस्मात् के-न्द्रात् पदं राशित्रयात्मकं विषमं समं पदं ज्ञेयम् ।त्रिराश्यन्तर्गतं चेत् प्रथमं विषमं पदम् । ततःषड्राश्य-न्तर्गतं चेत् त्र्युनं केन्द्रं द्वितीयं समं पदम् । ततो नव-राश्यन्तर्गतं चेत् षडूनं तृतीयं विषमं पदम् । ततोनवोनं चतुर्थं पदं सममित्यर्थः । तस्मात् पदाद्भुजस्य ज्याकोटिः कोटेर्ज्या । चः समुच्चये । एवकारात्तदाकारद्वयंसाध्यमित्यर्थः । अत्रोपपत्तिः । उच्चस्थानाभिमुखमुच्च-दैवतैर्ग्रहाणामाकर्षणोक्तेरुच्चाद्ग्रहः कियदन्तरेणेतिज्ञानार्थसुच्चहीनो ग्रहः केन्द्रमुच्चग्रहणवशात् तदाख्यम् ।तत्र भगवता स्पेच्छया ग्रहादुच्चं यदन्तरेण तत् केन्द्रंकृतम् । उभयथा भुजकोट्योस्तुल्यत्वात् । द्वादशरा-श्यङ्किते वृत्ते उच्चस्थानाच्चतुर्विभागात्मक एकैको भागोराशित्रयात्मकः पदसंज्ञः । अथोच्चस्थानाद्ग्रहः कस्मिन्पदेऽस्तीति शून्यत्रिषण्णवोनं केन्द्रं कृतं,  ज्यानां पदान्त-र्गतत्वात् । ग्रहाधिष्ठितपदाद्भुजज्याकोटिज्ययोर्ज्ञानम् ।तच्च ग्रहाणां राश्यंशकलाविकलादिस्थितिज्ञानार्थंस्पष्ट-ताकरणसाधनं तत्रैव प्रसिद्धम्” रङ्ग० ।एतत्साम्यात् लग्नावधिकद्वादशराशिषु त्रिराश्यन्तरस्था-नरूपे लग्नचतुर्थसप्तमदशमस्थानरूपे २ स्थानचतुष्के ।“लग्नाम्बुद्यूनकर्म्माणि केन्द्रमुक्तञ्च कण्टकम् । चतुष्ट-यञ्चात्र खेटो बली लग्ने विशेषतः” ज्यो० त० । केन्द्र-गतग्रहबलञ्च बलशब्दे वक्ष्यते । केन्द्रगतग्रहवशादायुस्तुकेन्द्रायुरित्यभिधीयते तच्चाकरे दृश्यम् । “आप्नोक्लिमगतेचन्द्रे केन्द्रस्थे सुरपूजिते । योगः केन्द्र इति ख्यातोयातुरिष्टार्थसिद्धिदः” ज्योतिषोक्ते ३ यात्राशुभयोगभेदे पु०
