 कालं जरयति जृ--णिच्--अच् बा० मुम् । पर्वत-भेदे “सप्त व्याधा दशार्णेषु मृगाः कालञ्जरे गिरौ” भार०पितृकल्पगाथा । तन्माहात्म्यं भा० व० ८५ अ० “तत्रकालञ्जरो नाम पर्व्वतो लोकविश्रुतः । तत्र देवह्रदेस्नात्वा गोसहस्रफलं लभेत् । यः स्नातस्तापयेत्तत्र गिरौकालञ्जरे नृपः । स्वर्गलोके महीयेत नरोनास्त्यत्र संशयः ।ततो गिरिवरश्रेष्ठे चित्रकूटे विशाम्पते!” । तेनास्यंचित्रकूटपर्व्वतसान्निध्यं गम्यते । तत्र मासं कृतस्तानेदशाश्वमेधफलं यथोक्तम् भा० अनु० ३५ अ० गङ्गा-यमुनयोस्तीर्थे तथा कालञ्जरे गिरौ । दशाश्वमेधाना-प्नोति तत्र मासं कृतोदकः” ।अयञ्च भूमिमध्यस्थरेखातः प्राच्यां दिशि वर्त्तत यथाभा० व० ८७ अ० । “पूर्व्वं प्राचीं दिश राजन्! राजर्षिगण-सेविताम्” इत्युपक्रम्य पूर्व्वदिक्स्थतीर्थकथने “प्रयागमितिविख्यातं तस्माद्भरतसत्तम! । अगस्त्यस्य तु राजेन्द्र!तत्राश्रमवरो नृप । तत्तथा तापसारण्यं तापसैरुपशोभि-तम् । हिरण्यविन्दुः कथितो गिरौ कालञ्जरे महान्” ।इत्युक्तेः । तीर्थपरत्वे अस्य क्लीवत्वमपि । “कालञ्जरंप्रभासञ्च तथा वदरिकाश्रमः” इति काशी० भौमतीर्थकथने६ अ० तथाप्रयोगात् । २ योगिचक्रमेलके । ३ भैरधभेदेमेदि० ।४ देशभेदे धर० । स च कालञ्जरगिरिरूपजनपदा-वधिभूतः । ततो भवादौ रोपधत्वात् प्राग्वर्त्तित्वाच्चवुञ् । कालरञ्जक तद्भवे
