 Kāma-pri (descendant of Kāmapra’) is the patronymic of
Marutta in the Aitareya Brāhmaṇa (viii. 21). In the St.
Petersburg Dictionary it is suggested that the reading in this
passage should be kāmapre,  ‘fulfilling desires, ’ as an epithet of
the sacrifice (yajñe).
