Ṛceyu, a prince. § 150 (Pūruvaṃś.): I, 94, 3700 (first son of Raudrāśva), 3702 (= Anādhṛshti(?), became king, father of Matināra). (According to v. 3698 Ṛ. seems to be identical with Anvagbhānu, q.v.) Cf. Ṛksha^2.

ऋचेयु / ṚCEYU. A king of the pūru Dynasty.1) Genealogy. From viṣṇu were descended in the following order:-brahmā-atri-candra-budha-purūravas. ĀyusNahuṣa. yayāti-pūru-janamejaya-prācinvān-PravīraNamasyu-vītabhaya-śuṇḍu-bahuvidha-saṁyāti-rahovādī-raudrāśva and ṛceyu.
(2 Other details.(i) His mother, miśrakeśī was a goddess. (M.B. Ādi Parva, Chapter 94, Verse 10).(ii) He had two other names
anvagbhānu and Anāvṛṣṭi. matināra was the son of ṛceyu. (M.B. Ādi Parva. Chapter 94, Verses 11-13).
