Sanskritआकाशमण्डल आकाशोमण्डलमिव । १ नभोमण्डलेआकाशस्य निरयवत्वेन अनवच्छिन्नत्वेन च वेष्टनाकारमण्डलाभावेऽपि भूगोलवृत्तोपाधिकृतं तदीयं मण्डलमिवभवति । योहि नभोभागो भूगोलनानावृतः सन् दृष्टिप्रचारपथवर्त्त्यालोकगन् तस्यैव भूगोलोपाधिना गोलाकारत्वंकल्प्यते । एतेनापि प्रमाणेन भूमेर्गोलाकारत्वानुमानम् यदिभूमिर्गोलाकारा न स्यात् कथं तदाऽनन्तानवच्छिन्नस्याका-शस्य गोलाकारत्वमुपलक्ष्येत कस्यचिदुपाधेरेव च स्यभा-वात् तस्य गोलाकारत्वमुपलक्ष्यते इति कल्प्यम् अन्यस्य चपरिधेरदर्शनात् परिशेषात् भुमेरेव तथात्वसिद्धिरिति तस्यागोलाकारता तद्वशाच्चाकाशस्य तथात्वकल्पनमिति “आकाश-मण्डलभध्यमध्यास्ते” काद० नभोमण्डलादयोऽप्यत्र “नैत-न्नमीमण्डलमम्बुराशिः” सा० द० तन्त्रोक्ते भूतशुद्धौचिन्तनीये भ्रूमध्यावधिब्रह्मरन्ध्रान्तस्थिते वृत्ताकारे स्वच्छे२ नभोमण्डले च “वृत्तं दिवस्तत् षड्विन्दुलाञ्छितंमातरिस्वनः” तन्त्र० । पदार्थादर्शे, भूतशुद्धौ वायोराकाशेविलापनमभिधाय “ततोभ्रूमध्यादि ब्रह्मरन्ध्रपर्य्यन्तं स्वच्छंवर्त्तुलमाकाशमण्डलम्” इत्युक्तम् । तदेव मण्डलं विद्वेषेचिन्तनीयम् यथोक्तं “जलस्य मण्डलं प्रोक्त” मित्युपक्रम्य“वृत्तं दिवस्तद्विद्वेषे” मन्त्रमहो० ।
