Sanskritअलास न लस्यति अनेन लस--करणे घञ् त० ।जिह्वागतरोगभेदे यथाह सुश्रुतः । “जिह्वागास्तु कण्ट-कास्त्रिविधास्त्रिभिर्दोषैरलास उपजिह्विका च” इत्युक्त्वा“जिह्वाऽनिलेन स्फुटिता प्रलुप्ता भवेच्च शाकच्छदन-प्रकाशा । पित्तेन पीता परिदह्यते च चिता सरक्तैरपिकण्ठकैश्च । कफेन गुर्वी वहुलाचिता च मांसोद्गतैःशाल्मलिकण्टकाभैः । जिह्वातले यः श्वयथुः प्रगाढःसोऽलाससंज्ञः कफरक्तमूर्त्तिः । जिह्वां स तु स्तम्भयतिप्रवृद्धे मूले तु जिह्ला भृशमेति पाकम्” ॥
स तु असाध्यरोगःयथोक्तं तत्रैव । “असाध्या अपि वक्ष्यन्ते रोगा ये यत्रयादृशा” इत्युपक्रम्य “जिह्वागतेष्वलासस्तुतालव्येष्वर्वुदं तथा”इत्यद्यभिधाय “असाध्याः कीर्त्तिताह्येते रोगा नव दशैव च”
