 अमृतस्य हिरण्यस्य पक्षः क्षयाकारित्वात् ।१ वह्नौ “अग्नौ सुवर्ण्णमक्षीणम्” या० उक्तेः सर्व्वदाहक-स्यापि वह्ने र्न सुवर्ण्णनाशकत्वमित्यतस्तस्य स्वर्ण्णपक्षत्वम् ।“तस्येतावमृतपक्षौ यावेतावभितोऽग्नी” इति शत० ब्रा०अमतं स्वर्ण्णमिव पीतौ पक्षावस्य । १ स्वर्ण्णवर्ण्णपक्षे श्येनभेदे“हिरण्यपक्षः शकुनोभुरण्युममृतं वै हिरण्यमृतपक्षःशकुनः” शत० ब्रा० ।
