English

अभय / ABHAYA   was one of the sons of dhṛtarāṣṭra. He was killed by Bhīmasena. (M.B. Ādi Parva,  Chapter 67,  Verse 104
 droṇa parva,  Chapter 127,  Verse 62).

   (भयस्याभावः इत्यव्ययीभावः,  यद्वा नास्तिभयं यस्मात् तत्,  हरीतक्यां दुर्गामूर्त्तिभेदे चस्त्री ।) वीरणमूलं । इत्यमरः ॥
 भयाभावः ।(“नातः परतरो धर्म्मो नृपाणां यद्रणार्ज्जितं” ।विप्रेभ्यो दीयते द्रव्यं प्रजाभ्यश्चाभयं सदा” ।इति याज्ञवल्क्यः ।“योदत्वा सर्व्वभूतेभ्यः प्रव्रजत्यभयं गृहात् ।तस्य तेजोमया लोका भवन्ति ब्रह्मवादिनः” ॥
इति मनुः ।)“प्रवृत्तिञ्च निवृत्तिञ्च कार्य्याकार्य्ये भयाभये ।बन्धं मोक्षञ्च या वेत्ति बुद्धिः सा पार्थ सात्त्विकी” ॥
