(probably a nickname) of a Muni. Comp. अन्त्यावसायिन्.
E. अन्त and अवसायिन् (सो with अव, kṛt aff. णिनि) acc.
to the native explanation ‘because he has the business of
finishing off the end sc. of the nails i. e. of paring them’
but more probably ‘one who is engaged in the lowest (cf.
अन्त IV. I.) occupations’. This word is therefore not con-
nected with अन्तेवासिन् q. v. An incorrect reading is अन्ता-
वशायिन्.
