^1 Occupying the in-
terior, e. g. of a hall, a house, घटः ‘a jar in the interior
of a hall’
अन्तर्वती शाला ‘a hall in the interior of another
hall’.
^2 Probably the same as आत्मवत् (comp. the mean-
ing of अन्तर् IV. 2.), selfpossessed, composed, as in the
vaidik instance पुमानन्तर्वान्त्स्थविरः पयस्वान्वसोः कबन्धमृ-
षभो बिभर्ति
(it has been proposed somewhere to translate
अन्तर्वत् in this instance ‘pregnant’).

in the Vedas also -वती) A pregnant woman.

Kāśikā on Pāṇ. IV. 1. 32, it is necessary to observe that

tion together with the counter-instance पतिवती in the same
rule: ‘यत्तु प्राचान्तर्वती पतिवतीति प्रत्युदाहृतं तदयुक्तम्’.]
