अन्तःप्रतिष्ठान Tatpur. n. (-नम्) Residing in the interior,
being in the interior
e. g. in a Pūrvapakṣa of a Sūtra of
the Vedānta शब्दादिभ्योऽन्तःप्रतिष्ठानान्न (the supreme Lord
is) not (Vaiśvānara) on account of the “word” (Vaiśvānara
itself which means fire)--शब्दस्तावत् वैश्वानरशब्दो
परमेश्वरे सम्भवति अर्थान्तरे रूढत्वात्--, on account of
“and so on” (the word fire having other distinct appli-
cations as in sacrificial acts &c.)--and on account of (it
being said that it has) its residence in the interior (of the
man, i. e. since it may have the meaning of stomachic or
fire of digestion, according to the vaidik passage: यो
हैतमग्निं वैश्वानरं पुरुषविधं पुरुषेऽन्तःप्रतिष्ठितं वेद सर्व-
त्रान्नमत्ति). [In the valuable edition of the Ved. Sūtra by
Dr. Röer the comm. to. 1. 2. 26 is to be read like the native
edit., viz. शब्दादिभ्योऽन्तःप्रतिष्ठानाच्च शब्द°°.] E. अन्तर्
and प्रतिष्ठान.
