अनाथपिण्डद Tatpur. m. (-दः) The name of a celebrated
merchant, the owner of the garden Jetavana near Śrāvasti,
where the Buddha Sākyamuni used to explain his doctrine
to his disciples. He was also called अनाथपिण्डिक. E.
अनाथ and पिण्ड-द ‘giving food to the poor’.
