 अतिक्रान्तमिन्द्रियं तदविषयत्वात् अत्या०स० । इन्द्रियायोग्ये अप्रत्यक्षे, “नेत्रश्रोत्रनासिकारसना-त्वक्चेतांसीन्द्रियाणि तैर्ज्ञातुमशक्ये विषये । “ज्ञानं यन्नि-र्विकल्पाख्यं तदतीन्द्रियमिष्यते” भाषा० “यत्तत् सूक्ष्ममती-न्द्रियमिति” गीता । ईश्वरे च तस्य तथात्वम् बाह्ये-न्द्रियायोग्यत्वेनैव अन्यथा “मनसैवानुद्रष्टव्य” इति श्रुतौज्ञानविषयत्वमुक्तं विरुध्येत । “यन्मनसा न मनुते”इत्यादिकं तु अशुद्धमनसोऽविषयत्वपरम् । अत एव“विशुद्धचेतसा गम्यमिति” वाक्यान्तरम् । किञ्च वेदा-न्तिमते ज्ञानं द्विविधं वृत्तिरूपं तदवच्छिन्नमनोवृत्ति-प्रतिबिम्बितचैतन्यरूपञ्च तत्र वाह्येन्द्रियाणां रूपादिष्वेवग्राहकत्वमीश्वरस्य रूपादेरभावेन वाह्येन्द्रिययोग्यत्वाभावेऽपिमनोवृत्तिविषयत्वमस्त्येव अतिसूक्ष्मत्वाच्च नाशुद्धमनोविषय-त्वमित्येव भेदः । किन्तु मनोवृत्तिविषयत्वेऽपि तदवच्छिन्न-चैतन्याविषयत्वात्तस्य मानसाविषयत्वम् अतएवोक्तमभियुक्तैः“फलव्याप्यत्वमेवास्य शास्त्रकृद्भिर्निराकृतम् । ब्रह्मण्यज्ञान-नाशाय वृत्तिव्याप्तिरपेक्षितेति” । अन्यथा विषयगताज्ञान-निवृत्तिं प्रति स्वविषयकमनोवृत्तेः कारणतया तदभावेकथंकारं? तद्गताज्ञाननिवृत्तिः स्यात् एतत्पक्षेऽप्यतीन्द्रियत्वंतज्जन्यवृत्त्यवच्छिन्नचैतन्याविषयत्वेन द्रष्टव्यम् ।
