or sacrificial post of the 21 posts in the Aśvamedha sacri-
fice, that post to which the seventeen animals are tied.
III. f. (-ष्ठा) That corner of the eight corners of the yūpa
or sacrificial post which is near the fire. E. अग्नि and स्थ.
