German(a-kudhryàc), akudhríac. Die Silbe dhrí, welche hier zwischen ku und ac eingeschoben ist, erscheint ganz in gleicher Weise in sadhrí-ac und entspricht der Silbe drí, die in deva-drí-ac, viṣva-drí-ac u. s. w. erscheint. Ich vermuthe, dass dhrí dort von gleichem Ursprunge ist wie in ádhri, ádhrigu (unaufhaltsam), also aus der Wurzel dhṛ stammt
diese wird hier in dem Sinne zu nehmen sein „fest worauf hinrichten“, in welchem sie z. B. mit mánas verknüpft vorkommt, um die feste Hinrichtung des Geistes auf ein Ziel zu bezeichnen (z. B. mano dadhre rājasūyāya Mah. 〔2, 541〕). Dann würde kudhrí-ac das bezeichnen, was sich in der Richtung nach einem bestimmten Ziele hin bewegt, akudhriac also ziellos.
