 (स्थायी भावः !) रसस्य त्रिधा-भावान्तर्गतभावविशेषः । यथा, --“सञ्चारिणः प्रधानानि देवादिविषया रतिः ।उद्बुद्धमात्रः स्थायी च भाव इत्यभिधीयते ॥
न भावहीनोऽस्ति रसो न भावो रसवर्ज्जितः ।परस्परकृता सिद्धिरनयो रसभावयोः ॥
”इत्युक्तदिशा परमालोचनया परमविश्रान्ति-स्थानेन रसेन सहैव वर्त्तमाना अपि राजा-नुगतविहारप्रवृत्तभृत्यवत् आपाततो यत्रप्राधान्येनाभिव्यक्ता व्यभिचारिणः देवमुनिगुरु-नृपादिविषया रतिः उद्बुद्धमात्राविभवादिभि-रपरिपुष्टतया रसतामनापाद्यमानाश्च स्थायिनोभावा भावशब्दवाच्याः । उद्बुद्धमात्रस्थायीभावोयथा, --“हरस्तु किञ्चित् परिहृत्य धैर्य्यंचन्द्रोदयारम्भ इवाम्बुराशिः ।उमामुखे विम्बफलाधरोष्ठेव्यापारयामास विलोचनानि ॥
”अत्र पार्व्वतीविषया भगवतो रतिः । इतिसाहित्यदर्पणे रसभावादिनिरूपणो नाम ३परिच्छेदः ॥
