 (सपिण्डस्य भावः । सपिण्ड +ष्यञ् ।) सपिण्डतां । सा तु पुं सां सप्तमपुरुष-पर्य्यन्तं अनूढकन्यानां त्रिपुरुषपर्य्यन्तञ्च स्था-यिनी । यथा, --“लेपभाजश्चतुर्थाद्याः पित्राद्याः पिण्डभागिनःपिण्डदः सप्तमस्तेषां सापिण्ड्यं साप्तपौरुषम्इति मत्स्यपुराणम् ॥
अप्रत्तानां त्रिपौरुषम् । इति वशिष्ठः ॥
अपि च“पित्रादिषड्भिः सापिण्ड्यं तत्तत्सन्ततिसप्तकैःगोत्रैक्ये सति तत्तु स्यात् षड्भिः पुत्त्रादिभि-स्तथा ।अप्रत्तानान्तु कन्यानां त्रिभिः पित्रादिभिःस्मृतम् ॥
”इति कारिका ॥
अन्यत् सपिण्डशब्दे द्रष्टव्यम् ॥
