Mṛgāra (= Pali Migāra), n. of a rich man, or acc. to MSV the chief minister, of Śrāvastī: Divy 〔44.13〕
MSV 〔ii.52.12〕. Acc. to MSV, as in Pali sources, father-in-law of Visākhā (our Viśākhā 2)
she was instrumental in instructing him, and he called her his mother, whence she is called Mṛgāra-mātar (Migāra°), cf. MSV 〔ii.69.10 ff.〕
see next (but acc. to some Pali sources she actually had a son, also named Migāra: DPPN).
