पुं,
 (पद्मस्येव बन्धो रचना यस्य ।)चित्रकाव्यविशेषः । शब्दालङ्कारप्रभेदः । यथा, “पद्माद्याकारहेतुत्वे वर्णानां चित्रमुच्यते ।”अस्य च तथाविधसन्निवेशवशेन चमत्कार-विधायिनामपि वर्णानां तथाविधश्रोत्राकाश-समवायविशेषवशेन च चमत्कारविधायिभि-र्वर्णैरभेदेनोपचारत्वाच्छब्दालङ्कारत्वम् । उदा-हरणं यथा, साहित्यदर्पणे ॥
“मारमा सुषमा चारु रुचा मार बधूत्तमा ।मात्त धूर्त्ततमा वासा सा वामा मेस्तु मा रमा ॥
”अद्म पद्मदलेषु वर्णविन्यासक्रमः ॥
