नड्वला / NAḌVALĀ. (a) The wife of manu, the son of cākṣuṣa manu. ten sons named ūru, pūru, śatadyumna, tapasvī, satyavāk, kavi, agniṣṭu, atirātra, sudyumna and atimanyu were born to manu by naḍvalā. (agni purāṇa, Chapter 18).
(b) The daughter of prajāpati vairāja. manu married this woman. kuru, pūru, śatadyumna, tapasvī, satyavān, śuci, agniṣṭoma, atirātra, sudyumna and abhimanyu were the ten sons born to naḍvalā from manu. (viṣṇu purāṇa, aṁśa 1, Chapter 13).
