  जन--भावे मनिन् । १ उत्पथौ २ आद्यक्षणसम्बन्धे, ३ गर्भवासतोयोनिद्वारानिःसरणे ४ न्यायाद्युक्ते अपूर्व-देहग्रहणे,  अपूर्वदेहादिभिरात्मनः सम्यन्धे ज्योति-षोक्ते ५ जन्मनक्षत्रे,  तदवधिके ६ दशमे ७ जनविंशे चनक्षत्रे । तत्र मनुष्याणां जन्मप्रकारस्तु गर्मशब्दे २५४८पृ० उक्तप्रायोऽपि अत्र विशेषः कश्चित् प्रदर्श्यते ।“ऋतौ विकाशा भवति योनिः कमलवत् सदा । गर्भाशयस्ततः शुक्रं धत्ते रक्तसमन्वितम् । अन्यत्र काले मुकुलायोनिर्भवति योषिताम् । सृष्टं शुक्रमतो योनौनैति गर्भाशयं शनैः । ऋतावपि तु योनिश्चेद्वातपित्त-कफावृता । भवेत्तदा विकाशत्वं नैव तस्यां प्रजायते ।ऋतुकाले यदा शुक्रं निर्दोषं योनिसंस्थितम् । तदाततायुना स्पृष्टं स्त्रीरक्तेनैकतां व्रजेत् । निषेकंमानवं स्त्रीणां वीजं प्राप्तं रजस्यथ । युक्तमात्रोऽपिनरकात् स्वर्गाद्वापि प्रपद्यते । विसर्गकाले शुक्रस्यजीवः कारणसंवृतः । धृत्या प्रविशते योनिं कर्म्मभिःस्वैर्नियोजितः । तच्छुक्ररक्तमेकस्थमेकाहात् पललंभवेत् । पञ्चरात्रेण कललं बुद्बुदाकारतां व्रजेत् ।बुद्बुदः सप्तरात्रेण मांसपेषी भवेत्ततः । द्विसप्ताहा-द्भवेत् पेषी रक्तमांसाचिता दृढा । वीजस्यैवाङ्कुराःपेष्यः पञ्चविंशतिरात्रतः । भवन्ति मासमात्रेणपञ्चधा जायते पुनः । ग्रीवा शिरश्च कण्ठश्च पृष्ठवंशस्तथोदरम्! पाणिपादं तथा पार्श्वं कटिमात्रंतथैव च । मासद्वयेन सर्व्वाणि क्रमशः सम्भवन्ति हि ।त्रिभिर्मासैः प्रजायन्ते सर्वाङ्गाङ्कुरसन्मयः । मासैश्च-तुर्भिरङ्गुल्यः प्रजायन्ते यथाक्रमम् । स्थैर्यं चतुर्थेचाङ्गानां पञ्चमे शोणितोद्भवः । षष्ठे बलस्य वर्णस्य नख-लोम्नाञ्चसम्भवः । दन्तपङ्क्तिस्तथा गुह्यं जायन्ते च नखाःपुनः । कर्णयोश्च भवेच्छिद्रं षण्मासाभ्यन्तरेण च ।पायुर्मेढ्रमुपस्थञ्च नाभिश्चैवोपजायते । सन्धयो ये चगात्रेषु जायन्ते मासि सप्तमे । मनस्तु चेतनायुक्त्वंनाभीस्नायुसिरास्ततः । सप्तमे चाष्टमे चैव त्वङ्मांसस्मृतिमानपि । अङ्गप्रत्यङ्गसम्पूर्णः शिरःकेशसम-न्वितः । विभक्तावयवः स्पष्टः पुनमांसाष्टमेन च ।नवमे दशमे मासि प्रबलैः सूतिमारुतैः । निः-सार्य्यते वाणैव जन्तुश्छिद्रेण सज्वरः । मनसश्च-ञ्चलत्वेन यदा गर्भस्थिति र्भवेत् । तदा विकृतिरूपेणपापात्मा हि प्रजायते । पुटद्वयं समासाद्य यदावहनि मारुतः । तदा प्रसूते पापिष्ठान् षण्डान्कर्म्मबहिष्कृतान् । मातृरक्तोत्तरा नारी पितुः शुक्रो-त्तरो नरः । उभयोर्वीजसामान्ये जायते वै नपुं-सकम् । विषमायां तिथौ क्षिप्तं कुर्य्याद् वीजन्तुकन्यकाम् । समायां पुरुषं नूनं केचिदाहु-र्मनीषिणः । वामाङ्गेन भवेन्नारी दक्षिणेन पुमान्भवेत् । रक्ताधिक्ये मातृरूपं शुक्राधक्ये तु पैतृकम् ।शुक्रशोणितसंघाते वायुना च द्विधा कृते । यमौस्यातां त्रिधा चेति चतुर्धा बहुधापि वा । ततोहीनाधिकव्यङ्गकुब्जवामनकादयः । जायन्ते सर्प-कुण्डाण्डा विकृतान्याश्च योनयः” । “गर्भात् कोटिगुणंदुःखं योनियन्त्रनिपीडने । संमूर्च्छा तस्य जठरा-ज्जायमानस्य देहिनः । जायमानः पुरीषासृङ्मूत्रशुक्राविलाननः । प्राजापत्येन वातेन पीड्यमानास्थि-बन्धनः । अधोमुखो वै क्रियते प्रबलैः सूतिमारुतैः ।क्लेशात् निष्क्रान्तिमायाति जठरान्मातुरातुरः । ततस्तंवैष्णवी माया समास्कन्दति मोहिनी । तया विमोहिता-त्मासौ ज्ञानभ्रंशमवाप्नुयात् । सृष्टमात्रस्य घोरश्च ज्वरःसमुपजायते । तेन ज्वरेण महता महामोहः प्रजा-यते । कण्टकैरिव च्छिन्नाङ्गः क्रकचैरिव दारितः ।पूतिव्रणान्निपतितो धरण्यां क्रिमिकी यथा । तृड्बु-भुक्षापरीताङ्गः क्वचित्तिष्ठति वा रटन् । विण्मूत्रभक्ष-णाद्यञ्च गतज्ञानः समाचरेत् । कण्डूयनेऽपि चाशक्तःपरिवर्त्तेऽप्यनीश्वरः । स्नानपानादिकाहारमवाप्नोतिपरेच्छया । अशुचौ संस्तरे सूक्ष्मकीटदंशादिभिस्तथा ।भक्ष्यमाणोऽपि नैवैषां समर्थो विनिवारणे । केन बन्धेनबद्धोऽहं कारणं किमकारणम् । किं कार्य्यं किमकार्य्यंवा किं वाच्यं किञ्च नोच्यते । कोऽधर्म्मः कश्च वै धर्म्मंकस्मित् वा वर्त्तते कथम् । किं कर्त्तव्यमकर्त्तव्यं किंवा किं गुणदोषवत् । संमूढस्य स्मृतिभ्रंशः शीघ्रं संजा-यते पुनः । मतिः संजायते तूर्णं जन्तोस्तत्रैव जन्मनि ।रक्तो मूढश्च लोकोयमकार्य्ये सम्प्रवर्त्तते । देही देह”परित्यज्य नेन्द्रस्थानमपीच्छति । तस्मात् कीटोऽपिजन्तूनां सुमूढो जायते भृशम् । न चात्मानं विजानातिन परं न च दैवतम् । न शृणोति परं श्रेयः सति चक्षुषिनेक्षते । बुद्धौ सत्यां न जानाति बोध्यमानो बुधैरपि ।संसारे क्लिश्यते तेन रागलोभवशानुगः” सुखबोधः ।जन्म च “जायतेऽस्ति वर्द्धते विपरिणमते अपक्षीयतेंनश्यति” यास्कोक्तेषु षटषु भावविकारेषु आद्यो भाव-विकारः । “जातस्य हि घ्रुवो मृत्युर्ध्रुवं जन्म मृतस्यच” गीता । “जन्मसम्पद्विपत्क्षेमं प्रत्यरिः साधको बधः ।मित्रं परममित्रञ्च त्रिरावृत्त्या पुनः पुनः” ज्यो० त० ।“शाकं दद्यात् त्रिजन्मनि” । “जन्मर्क्षे गिधनेऽपि च”ज्यो० त० । कर्त्तरि मनिन् ८ जने निरु० । आधारेमनिन् । ९ जन्मलग्ने १० जनमराशौ च “जन्मनीत्थंविचिन्त्यवान्” “जन्मनीचितयुक् शुभैः” नी० क० ता० ।
