पुं,
 (को जागर्त्ति अस्यां पौर्णमासी-निशायां इति लक्ष्म्या देव्या उक्तिर्यत्र समये ।पृषोदरात् साधुः ।) आश्विनी पूर्णिमा । तत्पर्य्यायः ।शारदी २ द्यूतपूर्णिमा ३ शरत्पर्व्व ४ कौमुदी ५ ।इति त्रिकाण्डशेषः ॥
अथ कोजागरकृत्यानि ।तत्र ब्रह्मपुराणम् ।“आश्वयुज्यां पौर्णमास्यां निकुम्भो वालुकाणवात् ।आयाति सेनया सार्द्धं कृत्वा युद्धं सुदारुणम् ॥
तस्मात् तत्र नरैर्मार्गाः स्वगेहस्य समीपतः ।शोधितव्याः प्रयत्नेन भूषितव्याश्च मण्डनैः ॥
पुष्पार्घ्यफलमूलौघसर्षपप्रकरैस्तथा ।वेश्मानि भूषितव्यानि नानावर्णैर्विशेषतः ॥
सुस्नातैरनुलिप्तैश्च नरैर्भाव्यं सबान्धवैः ।दिवा तत्र न भोक्तव्यं मनुष्यैश्च विवेकिभिः ॥
स्त्रीबालवृद्धमूर्खैश्च भोक्तव्यं पूजितैः सुरैः ।पूज्याश्च सफलैः पत्रैस्तथा द्वारोर्द्ध्वभित्तयः ॥
द्वारोपान्ते सुदीप्तस्तु संपूज्यो हव्यवाहनः ।यवाऽक्षतघृतोपेतैस्तण्डुलैश्च सुतर्पितः ॥
संपूजितव्यः पूर्णेन्दुः पयसा पायसेन च ।रुद्रः मभार्य्यः स्कन्दश्च तथा नन्दीश्वरो मुनिः ॥
गोमद्भिः सुरभिः पूज्या छागवद्भिर्हुताशनः ।उरभ्रवद्भिर्वरुणा गजवद्भिर्विनायकः ॥
पूज्यः साश्वैश्च रेवन्तो यथाविभवविस्तरैः ।ततः पूज्यो निकुम्भोऽपि समाषैस्तिलतण्डुलैः ॥
सुगन्धिभिर्घृतोपेतैः कृशराख्यैश्च भूरिभिः ।ब्राह्मणान् भोजयित्वा तु भोक्तव्यं मांसवर्जितम् ॥
वह्निपार्श्वगतैर्नेया दृष्ट्वा क्रीडाः पृथग्विधाः” ॥

लिङ्गपुराणे यथा, --“आश्विने पौर्णमास्यान्तु चरेज्जागरणं निशि ।कौमुदी सा समाख्याता कार्य्या लोकविभूतये ॥
कौमुद्यां पूजयेल्लक्ष्मीमिन्द्रमैरावतं स्थिरम् ।सुगन्धिर्निशि सद्वेशश्चाक्षैर्जागरणञ्चरेत् ॥
निशीथे वरदा लक्ष्मीः को जागर्त्तोति भाषिणी ।तस्मै वित्त प्रयच्छामि अक्षैः क्रीडां करोति यः ॥
नारिकेलैश्चिपिटकैः पितॄन् देवान् समर्च्चयेत् ॥
बन्धूंश्च प्रीणयेत्तेन स्वयं तदशनो भवेत्” ॥
इति तिथ्यादितत्त्वम् ॥
