nowned family,  (the अपिशलाः or descendants of Apiśala)
and the father of the Ṛṣi आपिशलि (Kāsikā: अपिशल-
स्यापत्यमापिशलिराचार्यः). Comp. also आपिशल and आ-
पिशलीय. E. अ neg. and पिशल (according to the Gaṇa-
