पुराणम्
Englishअजमुख / AJAMUKHA (ajavaktra). He was one of the soldiers in Skanda's army. (M.B., śalya Parva, Chapter 45, Verse 75). In the battle between skanda and the Asuras, ajamukha killed the asura, madhu. (skanda purāṇa, yuddha Kāṇḍa).

Sanskritअजमुख अजस्य मेषस्य मुखमेव मुखत्वेन कल्पितमस्य ।दक्षे प्रजापतौ, तस्य हि शिवद्वेषे मुखेन शिवनिन्दाकरणात्दक्षयज्ञे शिवाज्ञया वीरभद्रेण तस्योत्पाटने कृते पश्चात्शिवप्रसादने पुनरुत्पादनाय वीरभद्रे नियोजिते अजमुखे-नैव तन्मुखं कल्पितं तच्च काशीखण्डे विवृतं यथा । “वीर-भद्रोऽपि तत् सर्व्वं सर्व्वाज्ञां प्रतिपद्य च । विना दक्षस्यवदनं यथापूर्व्वमकल्पपयत् । ईश्वरं ये हि निन्दन्ति तेमूकाः पशवो ध्रुवम् ततो मेषमुखं दक्षं वीरभद्रोऽव्यकल्पयदिति” ।
